About John
My name is John! I'm a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in History. As the spouse of an NYC Dept of Education Administrator, I have tutored many NYC Middle and High School students for their state exams, regular classroom work, or even just to get a head start on classes they will be taking next year.
It's important to me students see the big picture and understand history in a conceptual way. It's not just about rattling off dates, names or places. It's about understanding how historical events shape our modern world both abstractly, and to the student personally.
Being in NYC, I've worked with students of all races, abilities and socioeconomic backgrounds. I would love to help your child achieve their goals and start the 2022-2023 school year strong!
