I am currently studying a BA in International Relations at King's College London, so history is a major part of my course. I graduated the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme from Dubai, United Arab Emirates! I am extremely passionate about history, and would love the opportunity to teach it to younger students!
The lesson structure will be comprised of any initial questions that the student might have and general points of clarification. I can teach based on the subject outline that the school teacher provides, but I can certainly go outside this to expand my student's understanding. I foster in depth analysis of topics, which is essential for all GSCE and IB History courses, and allow the student to understand tips and tricks they can use to get around exams and coursework much easier.
I believe in the power of communication, and the fact that any question or point of clarification is essential for the student. That is to say, I love when students ask me questions! My methodology is quite straightforward - I will go through the topic generally, and then discuss the aspects that need more in depth analysis. I also discuss the technical terms, such as historiography.
I've been giving lessons for about a year and a half, and I began in Dubai but most of my experience comes from my home country (Armenia). I've taught various students at various levels, and have allowed them to achieve much higher marks than they initially started out with!
I have an International Baccalaureate Diploma at present with an average of 6s in all components. I attained the majority of the subject based awards in my graduating year, which included English, History, Theory of Knowledge, and French, alongside an award for International Mindedness. Currently studying a BA in International Relations, most of my experience comes from Armenia, wherein I engaged in private tutoring with various students, and in Dubai where I also did the same.
I was completely hopeless writing essays in my first year of university as I was not used to the style of writing demanded by my professors. Thankfully, Alina helped me overcome this obstacle and trained me to write high-quality academic essays - a valuable skill I will be able to use for the rest of my university career.
I really enjoyed working with Alina - her help is definitely worth the price! Her experience in the British university system really shows in her tips on essay writing, as she knows what lecturers expect from academic work. Would 100% recommend to anyone seeking help with their essays!
Alina helped me ace a number of essays I had to write for my degree. Her eye for detail and meticulous writing skills not only contributed to the amelioration of my essays, but also taught me general lessons in the production of written pieces of work.
I recommend Alina because she likes to teach in a more interesting way. She really engages with her students and always makes sure that they understand the content she is teaching. She adapts to her students, and makes sure they pass with the best grades!
