About Maryam
I am a History, Politics and Economics student at UCL, and I was always of help to my friends and classmates who were looking to improve their performance on exam papers, because exam technique is at least as important as understanding of the topics. I have also worked with SOS Children's Villages Uzbekistan for many years, and conducted some classes and workshops for children and young adults, which provides me with some successful teaching experience.

I will focus on addressing specific areas the student is struggling with by running an individually tailored question paper every week. One session of every week will be dedicated to troubleshooting the paper from last week, while the rest will be focused on explaining a new topic. I am only planning to have two students I am teaching at a time to ensure that each one gets material that suits their needs and objectives, such as mastering exam-style questions, which is crucial to obtaining marks.

Maryam volunteered in our community centre, and helped many university applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds with their mathematics and english, which eventually allowed many of them to gain entrance to university in Uzbekistan. Her students commented on patience and genuine effort to help from her side, saying she explained everything using language the students would understand.
