About Avery
Stepping into our first session, you will grasp the guitar neck with newfound clarity. I evaluate your current skill level immediately to create a logical path forward. My 13 years of experience allow me to simplify complex scales or reading tasks. We often look at the logic behind chord shapes rather than just memorising fretboard dots.
Since I hold a degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, I bring high standards to every hobbyist or professional I coach. A practice module is provided with every lesson to keep momentum high between our meetings. You can expect a conversational rhythm that explains technical concepts as natural asides.
Sometimes we stop to analyse a tricky transition before moving to the next mode. This ensures you never feel overwhelmed by the music theory involved. My approach prioritises a steady, manageable pace for your growth.

Graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance gave me a solid foundation. I have taught 251 students over 13 years of active coaching. Many adults and hobbyists come to me for help with reading tabs or sheet music. We work on barre chords and scales together.
