About Rupal
I have done BSc Home Science with specialization in Fabric and Apparel Sciences and will be starting with my MSc in the same field. I have done embroidery and sewing as a part of my curriculum and have the knowledge of regional embroidery, dyeing and printing styles in India like Chikankari, Kutch embroidery, Kantha work etc.

I base my class on the historical and cultural significance of various embroideries, their genesis as well as influences over the time. The class will be based on discussions of the properties of various threads, fabric material and the cultural influences of each embroidery or dyed/printed fabric incurs.
