About Kesahi
Hi! My name is Kesahi, and I'm an Honors Biology student at Hofstra University with a passion for helping students grow academically and build confidence in the classroom. I have several years of tutoring experience working with elementary and middle school students in Math, English, and Science, and I genuinely enjoy making learning less stressful and more rewarding.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to get to know each learner and adapt my teaching style to their needs. My lessons are patient, encouraging, and interactive, creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and learning from their mistakes.
My goal is not just to help students improve their grades but to help them truly understand the material and develop problem-solving skills they can use long after our lessons. I believe that with the right guidance, every student can succeed.
As an Honors student pursuing a career in healthcare, I value responsibility, organization, and clear communication. I strive to create a positive learning experience for every student while keeping parents informed of their child's progress.

My teaching approach is centered around each student's individual needs. At the beginning of our first lesson, I like to ask students what they find most challenging and identify the concepts they struggle with the most. This allows me to create personalized lessons that target their specific areas for improvement instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material, followed by an explanation of the topic using simple, easy-to-understand examples. We then work through guided practice problems together before moving on to independent practice so students can build confidence and apply what they've learned. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and make sure they fully understand a concept before moving on.
What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and ability to explain difficult concepts in a way that is relatable and engaging. As an Honors Biology student and experienced tutor, I understand that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style to match their learning pace and needs. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students become more confident and independent learners.
My lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students who need support in Math, English, and Science. Whether a student is preparing for an exam, catching up on classwork, or looking to strengthen foundational skills, I provide a supportive and encouraging learning environment where they can succeed.
