About Anna
I am currently an Honors English Literature and Russian Culture student at McGill University in Montreal. Before that, I was an instructional assistant at the Chicago Botanic Garden and high-school writing tutor. I have experience working with students in a wide variety of settings, and through this have developed an extensive knowledge about instructional techniques that makes me a particularly adaptable tutor. I am confident that I will be able to help you or your student improve their writing, reading, or test preparation skills and knowledge.

My desire to tutor stems from my own extremely positive experience with tutoring for college test prep and essay writing, which helped me go from a 30 ACT to a 35 ACT and get accepted to prestigious colleges. My own tutoring draws from these successful methods. I like to blend together instruction with practice drills to identify and track areas for improvement. Once areas to improve are identified, I work to understand the nuance of why the student is struggling and work with them to improve from there. I have experience working with preschool through high school aged children and teens, and the lessons are catered to the specific age and specific student.
