About Lindsay
I studied at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana where I was a peer Spanish tutor working with college students, and worked teaching English to Spanish speakers with the local Latino Community Center. During my time as a student I mastered Spanish on a semester abroad in Nicaragua, and further polished my skills after being accepted as an intern in Yasuní, Ecuador. I have worked as a Spanish tutor for years with Germantown Friends School students in Philadelphia, and have recently been hired as a substitute Spanish teacher there.

I have experience teaching Spanish to Middle School, High School, and College students, and my classes can be a perfect fit for folks anywhere along the spectrum of Spanish language acquisition. I greatly enjoy working with beginners, learners in school, private students, and adults alike. I believe language learning should be centered on the verb, and on immersion and speaking, increasing comprehension by striving to understand as much as possible, and by being patient with ourselves where we have not yet learned something.
