About Karina
My name is Karina and I am an undergraduate student at McMaster University currently pursuing my Honours Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences. Before starting university, I was an avid community member at my high school through various activities including student council (President) as well as basketball and soccer. I have consistently remained an honour roll student, recognized for academic excellence by McMaster University and on several occasions, by the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board as well as by my high school. I enjoy using my past (in-person) tutoring experience and passion for mathematics and science to build one-to-one relationships to propel students academically!
I am eager to help students further develop the valuable skills necessary to fulfill their academic goals and take great pride in their ongoing progress!

Coordinate textbook and instructor-issued work with supplementary extra practice questions, worksheets and videos to help students understand and solidify new concepts and complete assignments. Helping students set goals for themselves and encouraging them to achieve these goals through affirmative language and positive feedback. Creating personalized study notes during sessions for the student's future reference.
