About Kai
Hello! My name is Kai, and I am an undergraduate honors student majoring in physics with a minor in mathematics. My rigorous academic background in astrophysics has given me a deep, first-principles understanding of the exact subjects I teach. As a student continuing my physics degree at the University of Alberta, I know firsthand the dedication and foundational skills required to succeed at a high level. I combine this academic legitimacy with a patient, supportive approach to ensure my students feel confident and capable. When I step away from the equations, I enjoy playing the bass guitar, and speed-solving Rubik's cubes. I look forward to working with you!

I believe that anyone can, and should, learn math and physics. Too often, capable students lose their initial curiosity because these subjects are reduced to dry lists of theorems and formulas. When it's hard to see the real-world applications, it's easy to get discouraged.
That’s why my lessons use a first-principles approach. Instead of relying on memorization, we focus on building a natural intuition. I ensure no question goes unanswered, preventing the hidden gaps in knowledge that trip students up later on.
My goal isn't just to help you understand the material, it's to help you build a genuine appreciation for these foundational topics.
