About Russell
I have a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and a Masters in Music Performance from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania. My first job was playing in The Philharmonic Orchestra of Caracas,Venezuela. Later in my career I moved to South Florida and was The Principal Horn of The Miami Symphony, and Second Horn of The Symphony of The America’s. I have over 20 years of experience teaching Horn students from beginners to college age.

I like to get to know my students personal goals. I know that every student is unique, and learn differently. I have a wealth of knowledge from my former teachers, and new information that I have continued to learn from various Horn professors. I enjoy teaching, taking pride in my students achievements.
