I can teach up to University, diploma level on the French horn. Everything else (trumpet, trombone, recorder, piano, music theory) up to an intermediate level. I tend to have a variety in each lesson, allowing the pupil to have an active say in what they learn. I like to incorporate simultaneous learning as we progress through different stages.
My name is Tabitha Bolter, and I am an 18 year old student from London. I have been a student at Junior Trinity for many years and currently study with Sue Dent. I have been accepted to many Conservatoires (Guildhall & RNCM...), where I plan to study full time in the next academic year. I would feel comfortable giving lessons to students up to a grade 7 standard.
I provide music lessons for beginners and intermediates of any age. I try to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and work on giving students a wide musical education, bringing elements of music history and theory as well as instrumental technique.
I've been a professional trumpet player and teacher for 15 years, I hold a Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Music plus a degree in Psychology/Criminology as well as diplomas in performance and teaching. My philosophy towards teaching Brass Instruments is based around good Breathing and a solid technique; these are imperative and the key to development.
I teach beginning and intermediate musicians. My past students would describe me as patient, friendly, passionate, and creative. I love working with kids and starting their musical lives off on the right foot! My goal is to cultivate a lifelong enjoyment of music.
Do you have a passion for music? Do you love listening to and performing a range of classical music? Learning the French horn is rewarding; it requires specialist instruction and consistent practice. Lessons are fun, yet challenging: All learners welcome from beginner to Diploma.
My teaching method is is variable depending on the student. With brass playing, generally speaking there is no right or wrong way as every person is physically different. Having said that I feel it is important to establish a technique which is both effective and comfortable, and then will progress from there.
A 21 year old grade 8 French Horn player aiming to provide beginner and intermediate players the best possible start, teaching up to grade 5 standard, before moving on to more professional teachers when their skills progress to that level.
Venezuela, dedicated to the world of music for 16 years, I am part of the system of orchestras in Venezuela, with whom I made various tours around the world with different groups. Depending on the level of the student, we will focus on the factors necessary to improve the instrumental performance.
It depends on when we talk about beginners I do with the student always small exercises of different methods such as David Burges, Peter Dam, Lucien Thevet, Farkas, Clark, Froydis and also Sanders. And also small pieces so you can develop the music. Also, I will give every lesson as homework so you can practice more and also will try to find material so you know more about Horn.
Testimonials from past students: Anita, you have been an amazing teacher for April. She has gone from strength to strength under your guidance. She has loved going to trumpet lessons because you make it so much fun, and always made an effort to have a good/friendly relationship with her.
Utilising the latest music pedagogy techniques and strategies to foster highly skilled students. Specialising in helping students to achieve great results in AMEB exams whilst gaining a PASSION for music. Will travel to you. All ages welcome.
