About Aoife
Hi, I'm Aoife, and I recently completed my HSC at Loreto Kirribilli. I was able to achieve several band sixes in my results, notably in English, and found most of my improvement stemmed from internal tutors at my school. Therefore, I know the importance of guided help with schoolwork, assessments, and exams. I have a great love for working with others, especially teaching others. I can assist those struggling with English, just as I was helped by my tutors, and elevate them to the skill level of their preference. PATIENCE and LISTENING are the two pillars of my tutoring style, as well as no judgment. Students will be listened to, responded to, and assisted with ANY qualm or query–––and therefore, will find themselves IMPROVING.

I teach my classes with an open approach. For those struggling with English, I learn the strengths and weaknesses of my students to better understand where and how they need to improve. I perform checks at the end of the lesson to see if material was understood. No question is stupid, and all are encouraged. I review written material by the student and thoroughly annotate. I then review such annotations with the student. My lessons are an hour in length, and are for high-school level students (7-12).
