About Dennis
I have been honored to cross paths with amazing people including Dr. Bernard Harris, the first African-American to walk in space, as a counselor at his STEM camp at Washington University in St. Louis, 6-time Olympic Gold Medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee, who spoke to my 6th graders. As a soccer coach, I was afforded the opportunity to attend the Hermann Trophy Dinner (the soccer equivalent to the Heisman Trophy) at the Missouri Athletic Club. I was also asked to nominate two of my players to attend a ceremony in The State Dining Room at The White House, where First Lady Michelle Obama honored MLS Champions LA Galaxy as part of the Let’s Move! campaign. My students and I watched their classmates and schoolmates together.
