About Dakota
I am a former Humanities teacher and have taught master's students to junior high students, as well as assisting doctoral students with their writing on occasion. I have been teaching classical literature, philosophy, and Biblical theology for almost half a decade, and I have helped many students master the art of writing an essay.

The humanities are all about "getting back to the sources." Instead of reading someone telling you about what Plato said, as a student of the humanities, you will go back and read Plato yourself. My goal is not to have you think as I think about these classical texts, but help you think deeply about what the author is saying and grow as an independent thinker. We will accomplish this by using perhaps the oldest teaching method, the Socratic method, to help you engage in a conversation with the greatest minds of the past.
