About Maha
I focus on active learning because students learn best when they are actively engaged in their own learning. One example teaching strategy that I employ is the guided practice. Through the use of technology, I encourage students to learn from, research about, and engage with the real world around them. I emphasize communicative skills such as teamwork, negotiation, and self-expression to become confident communicators.

I do my best to know my students so I can meet their needs. I focus on not only their cognitive development but also their emotional and social well-being. I motivate my students by creating lessons that are engaging and relevant to their lives. I aim to tie my lessons to their interests and hobbies. This requires me to build strong rapport and relationships with my students so I know how to tailor my lessons to them. I teach ESL adult students, and show respect for students of all backgrounds.
