I'm a recent MEng Aeronautics student at Imperial College London offering Maths and Physics tuition for secondary school pupils (primarily at GCSE & A-Level).
My lessons are interactive with plenty of worked examples and practice questions to help pupils grasps difficult concepts. I also like to put the subject matter I cover into context by relating it to real-world events and phenomena.
I pride myself on taking feedback and adjusting my style accordingly to ensure each pupil takes the most from each session of tuition.
Throughout my time at university, I have engaged in many tutoring and outreach activities which have provided me with experience in teaching people of a wide age and ability range.
I was previously part of an organisation called Team Up where I worked weekly with 1-4 GCSE and A-Level pupils over the course of 15 weeks to help them improve their academic attainment. This role involved:
• Preparing lesson plans to target identified problem areas
• Engaging pupils with a variety of abilities and interests levels
• Keeping a written record of pupils progress
MEng Aeronautical Engineering – Imperial College, London
Key Modules include: Mathematics, Mechanics, Aerodynamics, Structures, Computing & Materials
I have worked on numerous group projects over the course of my degree. The most recent being to design a next generation hybrid electric regional aircraft where I achieved a first for my individual report.
Currently working for an outreach organisation at university called ROBOGALS where we aim to engage pupils with STEM subjects through robotics workshops.
Excellent! Ashleigh is very punctual and organised with time and how she delivers information.
The presentations in the lessons are very effective especially in shining light on my mistakes in comparison to what could have been to get the right answer or the full marks. Actually I find that Ashleigh has been more helpful than my text book as not all the needed information is clearly introduced in the textbook or the resources I have, so Ashleigh saved me from not knowing certain things that could boost my grade potential.
Hiba was a very attentive student who picks concepts up quickly.
