Depending on the level of understanding of the student, I recommend between 2-3 session weekly schedule for effective learning, following a week-by-week modular structure.
I devise quarterly teaching plans for students to ensure complete coverage of the curriculum well before the end of the year to leave enough time for past papers and revision. For younger pupils I make sure that their lessons are fun and enjoyable. Regular progress checks are vital. I like to keep parents/guardians/fee payers well informed of progress.
I base my classes on the topics the children struggle with allowing them to review and improve on their current knowledge
I would want to structure a plan on how to achieve goals that I would help the student set themselves. I would encourage them to reflect on work they have done to motivate them further and provide that extra boost to go the extra mile.
