About Zarwa
This fall, I will begin my first year of undergrad at the University of York, studying the Law LLB degree. I began learning the piano at five years old. Four years later, I started learning the violin, which only emphasized my appreciation for music. Soon after, I began conducting private piano lessons, in which we covered music reading, comprehension, and theory, and did so for four years.
The teachers that have guided me throughout my musical journey have been some of the kindest and passionate individuals I have ever met. I hope to channel their energy through my own music playing, and to pass it forward as well.

Each half hour lesson will begin with a small warm-up, such as scales or a short run-through of a song looked at in the previous class. Then, we will go over music theory before applying it practically on the piano, or vice versa. Lessons are always tailored to accommodate the student as best possible; the format of the lesson is flexible, and will be decided from collaboration of the student and I's interests to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment from both sides.
Regardless of age, games, slight physical movement, and silly acronyms will be incorporated to aid in the learning of rhythm, notes, etc., and to make every class worth looking forward to!!
Questions, new ideas, and music recommendations are wanted and welcomed! I want every student to feel happy and comfortable during my lessons.
