About Helena
I have experience working as a math and language arts tutor at KUMON, and my 1510 SAT score qualified me to be an SAT tutor. At the end of the day, I'm here for the students, and want to make subjects feel engaging, not confusing and boring.
Additionally, as an Ivy League student, you can assure I will be professional, patient, and understanding. Learning is a process!

I enjoy working with students to help them understand subjects and feel confident in their abilities! I try to meet students where they're at and use different teaching methods based on the learner. I like to explain things with diagrams and ask intermediate questions along the way.
We will usually start with a simple concept, and slowly expand from there. Practice makes perfect and I help students build confidence through example practice problems and explanations.
As a college student, I'm hoping to work with students in middle and high school, specifically in math and chemistry.
