About Yash
My name is Yash, I am an incoming BSc Physics with Theoretical Physics undergraduate at King’s College London and have a strong interest for applied mathematics in Physics and Economics.
In the IB Diploma, I achieved a competitive score 40 / 45 at Sevenoaks School, one of the top IB schools in the UK. In the IB, my higher level subjects were Maths Analysis and Approaches, Physics and Economics, and my standard level subjects were Psychology, Italian and English Literature. I also did my Extended Essay in Mathematics, a 4000 word research paper investigating the effect of air resistance and spin on the projectile motion of a cricket ball.
In GCSE/IGCSEs, I achieved 8 A*s in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language, Computer Science, History, Geography, and 2 As in English Literature and Spanish.
I have experience in tutoring through helping teach chess, sports and coding at local primary schools in Sevenoaks, every Thursday afternoon during the academic year as part of the service program at Sevenoaks School. This helped develop my teaching and communication skills with younger students, whilst also providing me with experience as a teacher at various schools.
I am keen to tutor students who find Maths and Science challenging, but also to help students who have a strong interest to achieve their goals for studying related subjects at school and/or university.

My approach to tutoring will revolve around past exam questions and papers for subjects like Maths and Physics, to establish strong fundamentals and help master exam technique. Whereas in subjects such as Economics, my teaching will focus more on a deeper understanding and memorisation of content. Lessons will vary from 60-90 minutes, but open to flexibility.
My lessons are aimed at students doing Maths, Further Maths, Physics, annd Economics at 11+,13+, GCSE, IB and A-Level.
