I studied Hindustani classical music for four years in school, where my teachers emphasized the importance of building a strong foundation first—ensuring my vocals were stable and precise before diving into ragas. They not only taught me the history of the music but also shared their personal experiences, making every lesson emotionally enriching and deeply connected to life itself. Music is a profound expression of the heart and a powerful tool for healing. I share my passion for music with my students by blending history, storytelling, and hands-on practice. Our journey begins with a focus on foundational exercises, such as alankaras and voice-opening techniques, to build a strong framework. From there, we dive into ragas (melodies) and taals (rhythms), learning the essentials before exploring them creatively together. This makes each lesson both enjoyable and enriching. A typical session lasts 50 minutes and includes warm-ups, theory, extensive practice, sharing of experiences, and a thoughtful wrap-up. Lessons are designed for students of all ages.
