About Sylvie
For the past 16 years, I have been teaching violin to school students, college students, and working professionals with different levels of experience. I enjoy helping students grow both musically and personally through structured and enjoyable lessons.
My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, consistency, and positive guidance. I believe that every student can succeed when provided with the right support and encouragement. Therefore, I customise each lesson to suit individual needs and goals.
Throughout my teaching career, I have successfully helped many students improve their skills and become more confident musicians. One of my greatest achievements has been seeing students develop discipline, creativity, and a genuine love for music.
I strive to make learning enjoyable while helping students achieve steady and meaningful progress.

I believe that learning music should be enjoyable and rewarding. My teaching approach combines compassion, clear communication, and continuous support to help students feel motivated and confident throughout their learning journey.
For violin students, I focus on technique, tone production, rhythm, and musical expression. I customise lessons according to each student's level and personal goals. Through demonstrations and simple explanations, I make learning engaging and easy to understand.
I encourage students to communicate openly and provide regular feedback to help them recognise their progress. Positive reinforcement and patience are important parts of my teaching philosophy.
Apart from violin, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, and performance preparation. These subjects strengthen musical knowledge and help students become more complete musicians.
My objective is to help students achieve their goals while enjoying the process of learning.
