About Yanwen
Hi Guys, I’m Mandy , and I’m excited to be your teacher! I’m currently a student at the University of Manchester, studying Management with Marketing, but I’ve been passionate about helping others learn since my first year of university. I’ve taught English and various other subjects to friends and fellow students, and I’ve found that teaching gives me a deep sense of fulfillment.
The reason I want to teach is simple: I believe learning can be both powerful and enjoyable when it’s approached the right way. I want to help my students not just memorize facts, but truly understand and apply what they’re learning in their everyday lives. Whether it’s mastering a new language or grasping complex business concepts, I aim to make the process engaging and meaningful.
I’ve always valued personal growth, and teaching allows me to contribute to someone else’s journey in a positive and lasting way. My goal is to create a learning environment where students feel confident, curious, and ready to tackle new challenges. I’m looking forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals!

When teaching English, for example, I emphasize real-world use—whether through casual conversations to build confidence in speaking or writing exercises tied to students’ personal interests. Similarly, when tackling university subjects, I integrate real-life case studies and examples that make theoretical concepts more relatable. This not only enhances understanding but also keeps students engaged, which I believe has been key to their success and progress.
Ultimately, my goal is to go beyond simply helping students pass their courses; I aim to make learning enjoyable and relevant to their lives, which I feel makes my teaching experience unique.
