Step one as a tutor is to touch base with the student and/or their guardian to assess their needs and strengths. Once this is done, I would create an outline within a desired timeframe. I would follow up with the guardian/student weekly with progress notes. I am willing to answer questions, within reason, outside of the session to ensure the student gets the assistance required.
