About Davina

I am a recent graduate engineer born and raised in Rome, Italy. Over the years, I found myself teaching Italian to my French cousin whose goal was to to enrol to a university course which required an academic level of Italian. We could barely interact as first, as I do not speak much French and she had a basic knowledge of Italian. The key is to never give up, always try different ways to communicate, mix your personal interests with the language you aim to learn (or improve), and of course lots of patience and practice.

I have also had thorough experience with learning facilitation with university students in the UK. This gave me the chance to engage with ethics and professionalism whilst supporting them in their learning. The reason why I like teaching is because I enjoy helping others achieving their goals.

I love seeing people thriving and succeeding!

Oh, my cousin got offered the place at the university of her choice and currently is a successful Finance consultant!

About the lesson

I aim to make you feel at ease in learning or improving your Italian. For this reason, my approach will be tailored to your needs, interests, and level. I am a native speaker with some tutoring experience with teenagers and young adults. I would advise 1 hour lesson, which could vary based on your needs or other commitments.

Excellent teacher. In a month of learning I was able to have conversations in Italian. She helped me with writing, listening, reading and speaking with a series of activities.

Also since we are cousins we hanged out with her friends which made everything a lot easier in terms of practicing what I was taught. It was a really nice experience!

Thank you
