About Charlotte
I’ve just completed my BA Music degree from the University of Southampton, and am going on to study a PGCE in secondary music education in Nottingham in September due to my love of teaching. I have spent the past 3 years teaching in primary schools and undertaking my own private work teaching children piano and singing. I am also a musical assistant at St Wulfram’s Church Choir Grantham where I conduct services, teach the choristers, help create music lists, and play the organ. I have a calm and patient approach to teaching and have experience working with neurodivergent children. I will always prioritise the student’s needs over my own desires!

My lessons are completely flexible and are planned based on the student’s ability and wellbeing. I can teach piano, singing, and organ and am very happy to teach beginners. I have a great amount of experience teaching children aged 11 and under both piano and singing, and have coached a young boy who is now a chorister at Westminster Abbey. I like to split the lessons in half, one half is theory/classical based, and the other half is “fun”! (Jazz/musical theatre/learning pop songs).

Perfect! Charlotte is teaching my 11 year old son and we both feel his first lesson went very well, he has throughly enjoyed it and looking forward to the next one. Charlotte took the time to check his knowledge and started from there. She has a lovely calm way of explaining the music or notes and then showing how to play them. Feeling very positive for our future lessons.
Perfect! Energetic, positive, friendly and calm! She was great with our 5 year old daughter, kept her motivated throughout and already has a plan for her next lesson!
Perfect! Patient, adapts lessons to fit the child and the environment , calm and communicates well to arrange lessons . Very happy with the lessons
