About Vaughn
My teaching approach blends mindfulness, technique awareness, and emotional presence to create a truly connected guitar-playing experience. I encourage students to begin each practice with mindful breathing, allowing the body and mind to settle before playing a single note. We focus on anchoring hand position for stability, moving with ease, and preventing tension. Dynamic control is explored through gentle variations in volume and touch, helping each phrase speak with intention. I guide students to connect with their phrasing so their music feels alive and expressive. Whether strumming simple chords or shaping a soaring solo, every note carries meaning. For those who need a calm space to grow, lessons provide a supportive environment where curiosity is welcome and pressure fades away. Some come seeking emotional depth, others physical balance, and many both. In every case, I adapt our sessions to their needs, creating a learning space where growth feels natural.

I have over 10 years of experience teaching guitar and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Guitar Studies. My passion lies in helping adult learners, especially those returning to music after years away.
