My method is to use creative methods to achieve positive learning. I have a patient and calming approach to my teaching and can use this to my advantage.
Im a final year Multimedia Journalism student who took Media, History, English and Psychology at A Level with a passion in all four. I also have Youth Work experience and I have plenty of advice to give regarding Mental Health.

National Citizen Service Team Leader Aug 2015 – Current

I am currently employed by the Brathay Trust as an NCS Team Leader and Sessional Worker, both in Bradford and Sheffield. The main purpose of my job is to be responsible for up to 15 young people (aged 16/17) and to provide the supervision, motivation and inspiration to help my team succeed and enjoy the NCS experience. I also assist in the delivery of activities for the young people and to ensure that they complete 30 hours of compulsory social planning and action. I also liaison with the young people’s parents/carers, whilst also dealing with minor issues on a daily basis, ensuring that the necessary workers are aware of all safeguarding issues.

After taking part in the National Citizen Service in 2013 and winning the vInspired Award, 2013 for the ‘Most Outstanding NCS Team’, I was asked by the charity associated to volunteer and worked my way up to a Peer Mentor on the scheme.
International Volunteer (Everything is Possible), August 2014 (2 Weeks)
I was shortlisted and chosen by an international volunteering organisation, Everything is Possible to visit the Philippines for two weeks. I had to integrate within the local community and interview local people. I also visited schools and gave presentations on topics such as diversity, and spent evenings cleaning local beaches. Prior to hosting my own radio show for Radio Boracay (A local radio station), I learnt and took part in workshops where I learnt the fundamentals of FM and online radio stations. Finally, I documented my entire experience.
