About Haley
Learning was something that was always tricky for me. I was always scared to ask for help because I did not want to be judged or for people to think I wasn't smart. But when I asked for help, I learned that I am smart. And so are you! I want to be someone to help students find aspects of learning that excite them, and feel like any question is a good question. I take professionalism and focus very seriously, as well as mutual respect. That being said, I also enjoy a good chat or laugh! I have several years of academic and professional experience practicing writing, reading, and English-related topics and am confident to work with all levels of skill.

My methods are malleable. I want to work however is best for the student, and at their pace. I can do lecture-style teachings, visual examples, conversational lessons, or can give the student tasks to complete and share with me for us to review. I can work with students of all age and skills levels in writing, reading, and English-related subjects. My strategy to connect with the students and their caregivers would be to make communication open and accessible. I will offer transparency about my lesson plans, which I will curate and adjust as we continue with our learning.
