About Shira
My mom has been a teacher my whole life, and growing up I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference a great teacher can make. I’ve watched her encourage students, celebrate their progress, and inspire them to believe in themselves. Seeing the impact she’s had on so many young people inspired me to teach as well.
From her, I learned that teaching isn’t just about explaining lessons, it’s about building confidence, being patient, and truly caring about each student’s success. I bring those same values into my tutoring and am committed to helping every student feel supported, capable, and proud of their progress.

I love using games, interactive activities, and creative tools to help bring lessons to life, especially for younger children. When kids are having fun, they naturally feel more confident and eager to learn!
I typically keep lessons around 30 minutes to match children’s attention spans and keep the energy positive and focused. I have the most experience working with students in grades 1–5, but I’m absolutely open to supporting learners of all ages and grade levels. My goal is always to create a warm, encouraging space where every student feels comfortable, capable, and proud of their progress.
