About Sayani
Hi, I’m Sayani Nanda, a practitioner, performer and trainer of Kathak dance for the past 3 decades. I have got my training under some of the best dancers in the field of Kathak. My guru Prof. Amita Dutt, Vidushi Saswati Sen and Pt. Birju Maharaj ji. I have done my bachelor's in Communicative English from Calcutta University and M.A in Dance from Rabindra Bharati University. I have received accolades like Gold Medal from the Prayag Sangeet Samity, Allahabad, National Scholarship from the Govt. Of India, Ministry of Culture, winner at the Doverlane Music Academy dance competition, Rajya Chhatra Yuva Utsav, etc. I have also performed extensively in India and abroad also. I run my dance institute Chaturang Nritya Sadhana Kendra that nurtures love for Kathak in the young generation.
