About Kerry
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have nearly ten years experience as a tutor both privately and in a local school. I specialise in the Kent Test/ entrance exams and maths. I have an excellent record of success in exams but can also just work to improve levels generally. I have also been through the Kent Test experience as a parent and tutored both of my children alongside my other students. I also coached primary age sport for a number of years.
I passed the vetting process for the Local Authority school I worked at and have a recent Enhanced DBS Certificate for working as a home tutor.

I enjoy helping students build their confidence and find success, through an improved understanding of the subject, better problem solving skills and a familiarity with the question types. I check the level they are working at and prepare a lesson plan. I then work through the curriculum covering the topics in a sensible order with plenty of practice questions to check on progress.
I teach the Kent Test, Maths KS2 & 3, Functional Skills and GCSE.
I studied O and A Levels at school before going on to achieve a BA(Hons)Social Science degree from Leicester University.
I charge £25.00 per hour for 1 to 1 tuition. Any travel is extra and charged at 40p per mile.
I mostly teach from my home in Ashford but can travel locally.
I teach ages 7 - 16 or years 3 - 11
