About Zainab

I'm Zainab, a law student at King's College London. I finished the IB Diploma in 2024, so I still remember what it's like to be on the other side of the desk: juggling deadlines, trying to make sense of a topic that won't click, and wondering how any of it will come together before the exam.

I have always loved teaching and working with other students. I started tutoring at school in 2020 through the student council and have kept going since. What I enjoy most is making things a little easier for the students I work with, and making learning something they can actually enjoy.

About the lesson

My lessons start with a single diagnostic session. I use it to understand how you learn best and where you are currently struggling, whether that's a particular Maths topic or structuring an English essay. From there I build a lesson plan around you, and it keeps changing as you progress. When something clicks we move on, and when a new difficulty comes up we slow down and work through it together.

Sessions are flexible. Most students settle into a regular weekly slot, and we can add extra sessions in the run-up to tests, mocks and final exams, then scale back once they're done.

I also support you across the whole course, beyond individual topics. That includes coursework such as the IB Maths exploration and English written assignments, as well as preparing for tests with past papers and exam technique, so you know what examiners are looking for. I teach IGCSE and IB English and IB Maths.
