About CHARLIE
Currently studying Language Sciences at the University of Lille (third year in September), I took the C1 level English courses, I am able to speak fluently. Having integrated the European history-geography class in English as well as the English specialty in high school, I was able to stay in English-speaking countries and also exchange with native speakers. Interested in the language and motivated to learn it since middle school, I obtained my baccalaureate with an average of 20 in this subject, urging me to share this interest, raise awareness and help those in difficulty or wishing to learn more. I have already taught regularly for two middle schoolers, but I can adapt to different levels regardless of age and grade. I find the listening relationship between learner and teacher essential, I want the comfort and ease of the students and give them confidence in their abilities, even if it means going over several times on certain points or adapting the course formats for a pedagogy that will suit best the person receiving it.

The courses are based on adaptation to the person who is learning. It would be pointless to promote rapid learning if it is incomplete or unstable on its foundations. I first take a moment before any session to take stock of the level of the learner and his desires, goals, motivation, and then the lessons can be consistent with the will, needs and character of the pupil. I don't have a particular methodology except primarily listening and adapting to offer a course that best suits the person who receives it. Far from pure and raw teaching, I want to work with the student by making them get involved, make them think, dialogue and provoke a reflection that will make them understand and adopt mechanisms that they will have consciously shelled. When the theory is easy enough to do this, I offer moments of discussion in the target language, to develop the naturalness of easy communication, even if it is not perfect. Practice makes progress, and I don't think you should wait to be good at something to start doing it.
