About Maria
I graduated in Literature and Linguistics at Università degli Studi di Milano, where I learned about the evolution of languages and literary forms from Latin to Modern Romance Languages. My high-school final exams were also Classics-focused, with Latin and Ancient Greek languages and literatures as main subjects. I moved to London three years ago, where I am currently training in adults language teaching and working as an Italian Language Teacher at an adults Language School and Learning Support Assistant at an Independent School. One-to-one and small group teaching are part of my daily job and I have six years of tutoring experience both in Italy and the UK.

My teaching experience is varied as to the age, level and goal of my students - from kids to adults, from exam preparation to adult learning. My method is student centred and I base my lessons on their skills, motivations and goals. Learning about the ancient world, even more so when looking at its languages, is a stimulating and mind-opening challenge and I make sure this does not get lost when you learn with me!
