About Lisa
I have led worship music within a Latin community for years, and that warm, communal background shapes almost everything about how I teach singing today. Thirteen years into teaching now, I've worked with about three hundred students, many of them drawn to community and church music specifically, though I welcome students with any genuine musical goal. My worship background gives me genuine, lived insight into building singers who sing generously for others, not just for themselves in isolation. I work particularly well with students seeking a warm, supportive, community-minded learning environment rather than a purely competitive or isolated one. My teaching style is warm, patient, and genuinely nurturing, built on years of leading singers of every skill level within a real, supportive community setting. I have guided numerous students toward genuine competence and confidence, watching many go on to contribute meaningfully to their own community and church music programs.
