About Chayanne
I am currently a law student with 2 years of tutoring experience. I have taught a wide range, from maths and science to English and 11+, but I am most passionate about English. I have managerial experience from my tutoring, which means I can engage well with students and have good organisation skills, allowing me to plan structured, effective lessons while still keeping them engaging.
I focus on building confidence as much as ability, helping students feel comfortable expressing their ideas and asking questions. My approach is tailored to each student, whether they need support with understanding key concepts, improving exam technique, or developing stronger writing skills. I aim to create a positive and productive learning environment where students can make clear progress and feel proud of their achievements.

I have two years of teaching students from as young as year 2, to as mature as year 13. I usually begin my lessons with new tutees by touching base with them and figuring out what their strengths and weaknesses are. Once we have tackled that together, I can make a plan of how we would approach future lessons. My teaching is very interactive, and I always like to give students control over what is taught. This means that each lesson is tailored to their individual needs, whether that’s focusing on building confidence in core concepts, preparing for exams, or pushing high-achieving students to reach top grades.
I create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as I believe this is key to real progress. Alongside this, I incorporate a range of teaching methods from practice questions to discussion and exam-style techniques to ensure students not only understand the content but also know how to apply it effectively.
Having worked with a wide range of abilities and learning styles, I adapt quickly and aim to make lessons both productive and enjoyable. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students become more independent and confident learners, while simultaneously sharing my love for English!
