About Chaerin
Hello, I am a female tutor in my early twenties who has studied in an English speaking country for 11 years. Although I have no official teaching experience, I've taught both TOEFL and SAT to numerous classmates since middle school, and have noticed a stark increase in their grades during the course of my tutoring.
My class is based on the TOEFL studying experiences of me and my peers in Korean cram schools. Thanks to these experiences, I can help you grasp the concept and identify the problems with ease. My class acknowledges each student's unique needs and circumstances.
Most of tutoring services utilize online platforms such as zoom and skype in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19; However, if I can use public transit to meet you physically, I will do so after consuItation.
It's perfectly fine if you aren't familiar with either English or TOEFL! I will provide intensive 1:1 tutoring at your pace.

I only offer TOEFL reading and writing online, which explains the difference in cost between online and offline services (all sections of TOEFL are offered offline.)
Pricing also depends on the three criteria listed below:
1. current pace of the student
2. the goal of the student
3. allotted time until reaching the goal of the student
Before the first free meeting, students must answer the practice test that I assign to them, and answer a google form for the tutor to understand his/her strengths and weaknesses. After the overall performance is taken into consideration, the student and I will discuss pricing and curriculum in more detail in the first free meeting :) It would also help if the student shares past test scores.
