About Steve
I am a former Finance professional but have been making music for the past 35 years either starting as a bass guitarist in an Essex rock band and recently as an electronic performer. I am a gigging musician and regularly frequent EMOM's, showcases for new talent, fundraisers for charities or festivals and the occasional festival.
I play harder electronic tunes as 'The Last Sentinel'.
I play soul-searching electronic chill-hop as 'Taniyama'.
I am also one half of 'Autobahn' - a Kraftwerk tribute act.
I have 130+ releases on digital streamers including multiple albums, I am a member of the PRS, I have previously taught Ableton to all abilities and continually update my knowledge of production techniques. My musical theory and playing ability is actually very average so if I can do it then so can you.

About the lesson

From a brief overview of Live through song creation in arrangement view to splicing and organisation of channels/clips in session view with automation. You will receive an understanding of Max, the differences between packaged devices, VST and Max apps. I will explain the need to organise your sample library and related files, I'll show you how to remove unnecessary samples and slim down your set size.
More importantly, I will help you realise a slick set with elements of automation and integration of a Push or other MIDI controller.
I am comfortable with Windows but prefer Mac. I assume you have your own copy of Standard or Suite and you have appropriate controllers and a place to practise.
