About Debamita
Namaste I am Debamita Chatterjee, a dancer creator and eternal student of Indian art. I was introduced to the world of classical dance through Bharatanatyam and Kathak in my childhood overtime what began as movement turned into a deeper journey into the philosophy, symbolism and soul of Indian performance traditions. My training led me to the timeless text of Natyashastra and I found myself captivated by the detail discipline and divinity it offers. It wasn't just about dancing- it was about understanding why we move, feel and express the way we do on stage.
