About Mohamed Nazir
I am a Syrian-born educator and native Arabic speaker currently based in Canada. I bring more than 20 years of professional experience across teaching, communication, analysis, and community work. This diverse background has strengthened my ability to explain ideas clearly, understand different learning needs, and connect with students from various cultural backgrounds.
I have experience working with both children and adults, from complete beginners to learners seeking to refine their pronunciation, recitation, or vocal performance.
I am an experienced Qur’an reciter and nasheed vocalist, with a strong practical background in Tajweed, Arabic pronunciation, vocal development, and Eastern maqamat. I also have a background in Islamic studies and an appreciation of the linguistic and spiritual dimensions of Qur’anic recitation. I teach in both Arabic and English and aim to create respectful, encouraging, and personalized lessons for every student.

As a native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills, I can explain ideas clearly to both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers. My professional background in analysis and communication helps me understand different perspectives and present information in the most accessible and effective way.
I offer lessons in Modern Standard Arabic, Levantine Arabic conversation, Qur’an recitation and Tajweed, voice development, Eastern maqamat, nasheed, and Arabic singing. Lessons are practical, supportive, and adapted to the student’s needs, whether the goal is improving pronunciation, developing vocal performance, understanding maqamat, or gaining confidence in speaking and reciting Arabic.
