About Ozioma

I learnt how to weave cornrows at the age of 8 back home in Nigeria and have always styled my children's hair from a very young age as well as braid my own hair myself. I am a former high school teacher but been self-employed as a hairdresser in 2012 and started haireducation in 2018, attending to clients with 3 and 4 hair types in the Afro-Caribbean community . My skill set ranges from simple cornrows to complex patterns, weaving cornrows with extensions, braids, twists, locs, wigs, hair pieces to product knowledge and formulation (2022).

About the lesson

I demonstrate very carefully, proper hand coordination and positioning to make braiding and weaving cornrows easier to achieve very neat pain-free hairstyles especially for kids. Structured courses range from 10 hours and above depending on your skill and experience. Contents include simple cornrows, complex cornrows with different shapes/patterns, regular, knotless and passion/boho braids, twists, crochet weaves/braids, starter locs and retie, cornrows with extensions. No skills or previous experience necessary because you will learn these skills from scratch. I start from the very beginning and meet you where you are at. No pressure. I cover theory and practical aspects of natural Afro textured hair including basic and advanced natural hair care. You acquire lifetime skills to care for your hair, family and friends, start a hair braiding business or change your career.

Emma was very pleasant to teach, she took to instructions very carefuly, asked questions at every stage to ensure she had a good understanding of what she will do later on and went on that very day to practice, hands on, no delays and sent me the pictures to inspect. To my delight she is doing extremely well especially as she had no previous experience.
