First we will form a comprehensive understanding of the chosen historical object/event/person, then once we have a deep contextual understanding of said object/event/person we can develop strong argument points to best format the students essays.
The aim of my teaching is to make students think non laterally and delve into the actual history of things in order to better understand the event/person etc and what came after the event as very few things leave no impact on the future!
This style of tutoring would work well for students confident in the subject but who do not fully grasp how to effectively structure essays/arguments etc. For those who are not confident in the subject that is also fine as I am happy to go into lots of detailed research to help the student better their own research skills which are imperative for historical analysis.
I am new to tutoring outside of a peer to peer level. In high school and university I would assist my fellow students with revision and essentially small lessons to catch them up for exams, or just to help out when they needed.
I am truly passionate about history and have been my entire life. I hope to pass this passion on to other young people and show them how fun and relative to modern life history can be!
