About Orin
I am a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in European Languages, specializing in French philology. My academic background and practical experience have shaped a deep and nuanced approach to teaching the language. I work extensively with advanced learners who are passionate about mastering literary analysis, translation, and academic French. My sessions often focus on exploring classic and modern French literature, dissecting texts by authors such as Balzac, Flaubert, Camus, and Sartre. I guide students through the art of critical essay writing, helping them develop a refined analytical voice in French. Translation exercises are also a key part of my lessons, allowing students to understand both linguistic precision and cultural depth. I support university students with dissertations, research papers, and preparation for competitive language exams. I enjoy helping learners engage with the stylistic and rhetorical elegance of French. My teaching style is structured yet flexible, encouraging both creativity and clarity. French is more than a language—it is a lens to explore thought, identity, and expression. Join me to master not only the rules of French, but also its soul through literature, ideas, and eloquence.

My teaching approach in French focuses on building a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I create structured lessons that help learners grow step by step. Whether you're learning French for work, travel, or as a hobby, I tailor my sessions to match your goals. I use real-world materials like news articles, short stories, and classic French literature to develop reading and comprehension skills. For writing, we work on both formal and creative styles—ranging from essays and reports to poetry and storytelling. I also help learners practice debate skills in French, improving both speaking and critical thinking. Every lesson includes speaking activities to improve fluency and build confidence. We often discuss topics from culture, history, and current affairs to expand vocabulary in context. I believe learning a language is not just about rules but also about connection and expression. Learners are encouraged to ask questions, reflect, and express themselves freely. I support each person in excelling, whether they’re aiming for professional fluency or enjoying the language as a passion. Regular feedback, friendly corrections, and practical tips help learners stay on track and motivated. My aim is to make French meaningful, enjoyable, and part of your everyday thinking.
