Hi, I’m a passionate guitar tutor with 12 years of teaching experience and an Associate Degree in Guitar Performance. I specialize in helping students prepare for Rockschool, Trinity, and university-level guitar programs. My approach combines technical precision with creative exploration, helping each student find their unique voice on the instrument. Whether you're working toward a graded exam or simply want to become a confident player, I tailor lessons to your goals and strengths. I believe in building strong foundations—focusing on technique, tone, rhythm, and expression. From acoustic fingerstyle to electric solos, I make sure students feel supported at every step. I’ve worked with beginners discovering their first chords and advanced players refining their performance skills. I integrate music theory in a clear, practical way to deepen your understanding. My teaching approach for guitar is built around creativity, technical growth, and personal expression. I work with students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players, and help them grow with confidence. I make sure to adapt my lessons to each student’s interests, pace, and learning style.
Whether you want to play around the campfire or dive deep into expressive blues, I guide you with patience and encouragement. I focus on core techniques, such as finger placement, rhythm, strumming, picking, and chord transitions. We also explore music theory in a simple way to strengthen your understanding of what you play.
I cover a wide range of genres—acoustic, rock, blues, jazz, pop, and classical—so you can find your own voice in music. I help you develop your ear, build timing through metronome practice, and grow comfortable improvising. Song-based learning is a big part of my method, so you’ll play real music from the start.
I encourage creativity through songwriting, solo building, and expressive playing. Every student gets personal attention and a structured path to grow. My goal is not just to teach guitar, but to help you enjoy every step of the journey.
