About Ben

You can feel confident learning with me because I’ve been a professional music tutor for over 20 years, working with both beginners and advanced students. I hold a Bachelor of Music from a prestigious university in Australia, and throughout my career I’ve performed and studied a wide variety of musical styles, playing in diverse settings around the world. My lifelong passion is music and education, and I bring that dedication to every lesson—offering a structured, supportive, and inspiring learning experience tailored to your goals.

About the lesson

Why learn harmonica with me?

I started playing harmonica over 10 years ago—just like you, I was a complete beginner, full of curiosity and not quite sure where to begin. I remember struggling with holding the instrument, playing clean notes, and learning how to bend. I’ve gone through the same challenges, so I know exactly what it’s like to be starting out. That’s why I teach with patience, clarity, and real empathy for the beginner’s experience.

I’ve also been a music teacher for over 10 years, primarily teaching guitar. Through that, I’ve developed a friendly and flexible teaching style that adapts to each student’s needs. Whether you’re learning for fun, to play along with others, or to explore new creative outlets, I’ll help you build solid foundations while keeping the process enjoyable and stress-free.

You don’t need any prior experience—just a harmonica and a bit of curiosity. We’ll work step by step, and I’ll make sure you understand not just how to play, but how to listen, feel, and enjoy the music you’re creating.

The harmonica is an expressive, portable, and surprisingly powerful little instrument. I’d love to help you discover just how much you can do with it.

Let’s start this musical journey together!
