About John
I am a humanist and as such altruism and egalitarianism are at the root of my wish to teach. Through my career I have gained valuable skills and knowledge which I recognise as being potentially valuable for someone else who may require this specialist knowledge and skills. My current employment as an art tutor will enable a healthy teaching environment of patience and tolerance, mindful of unconditional positive regard.

I am qualified to PhD level in painting and drawing. I have formulated a step-by-step approach to making a representational painting. I employ tried and tested formulae, that I myself use to compose my pictures. The formula is evidence-based. A typical lesson would be around 30 minutes that can be repeated, and further realised through a guided system of a number of weeks of development according to your needs. The lesson caters for both beginners, and continues through the learning spectrum to a more advanced level.
