About Prince
I played in a band throughout high school and much of college. When I wasn't performing with them, I was performing as part of other bands, on stage as an actor, or organizing concerts and stage shows. I began learning to play guitar in 2015 then eventually performed throughout HCMC, VN venues as a singer, songwriter and emcee with active producers, rappers, singers instrumentalists and writers. I've collaborated in music studios with other musicians. I've also released my own music. After seven years abroad, I am back in the USA to share expertise, teach others, network and make more music along the way! I must say, time under tension truly does make a difference. Whether we're learning to play guitar or we're learning to sing, my lessons and prescribed practice regimens guarantee that learners will obtain familiarity with key elements of music theory. They will gain the confidence to learn or practice independently and at their own pace. This lifetime in performing arts combined with my more recent experience as a 7-year veteran ESL educator helps me clearly communicate my understanding to all skill levels. Ongoing dedication will have my students reading sheet music, writing, and performing signature melodies of their own and of their favorite artists/songs.

Beginners will learn fundamentals essential for singing on pitch, and precisely identifying their own weak points in future rehearsals without need for assistance.
Karaoke practice? Perfect! Practicing for an event or special someone? Let's make it happen. Maybe you have a certain desired goal or outcome my role in your journey. Bring it and we'll see it through! Maybe you're the student that wants to know exactly what we're learning each class with dedicated plan. Maybe you're easily overwhelmed and prefer to focus on one topic at a time only.
Whether you want to practice for fun or learn from scratch, you need zero existing knowledge or skill to start lessons. My brand new '25 curriculum, The Wide World of Vocals will be used to help us progress with marked progress in actionable steps. You'll learn all new vocabulary each week so that you grow comfortable discussing the topics with other singers. You'll have homework opportunities and plenty of practice each week. All of my students leave with noticeable results, excited to come back for the next class!

Prince really helped me to improve my vocal technique. On day 1 I was given a corrective process that instantly identified my weak spots. I was already singing better at the end of our first session. He provides such a fun, creative space that invokes confidence in you and makes you eager to learn your craft. His knowledge of range and agility, in particular, are exceptional.

Mr. Prince Slater is knowledgeable and explains well enough to understand. He's patient and works one on one with each student's pace level of learning. He trained several years while living in Vietnam. Highly recommended.
