About Sebastian
I'm Sebastian Rider, a Berklee College of Music graduate, music industry professional, concert promoter, producer, and artist with over a decade of experience working across multiple areas of the music business. My career has allowed me to experience the industry from nearly every angle. As a recording artist and former frontman of the Berklee alumni rock band Stone Giant, I've performed internationally at major festivals including Lollapalooza Argentina and Chile, shared festival lineups with artists such as Gorillaz and Tame Impala, and have been featured by Billboard, Spotify, Classic Rock Magazine, Berklee College of Music, and Blues Rock Review. I also had the honor of performing for legendary guitarist Jimmy Page at Berklee's 2014 Commencement Ceremony. Beyond performing, I've built my career on the business side of the industry. I've booked national and internationally touring artists, negotiated with venues, managed artist relations, coordinated concert production, developed marketing strategies, and promoted successful live events throughout Los Angeles. As the founder of Royal Sound Productions, I've produced concerts and music festivals featuring dozens of artists while overseeing every aspect of event planning, budgeting, contracts, logistics, ticketing, staffing, and promotion. My experience also includes artist development, record labels, management, entertainment law fundamentals, music contracts, branding, release strategies, touring, and building sustainable careers for independent musicians. Having worked both as an artist and behind the scenes, I understand the challenges musicians face and the practical steps required to succeed in today's industry. As a Berklee graduate with a degree in Songwriting and a Recording Academy GRAMMY Voting Member, I combine industry knowledge with real-world experience to provide practical, up-to-date guidance—not just textbook theory. My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether you want to build your career as an artist, become a manager, start a record label, promote concerts, work in artist management, or launch your own music business. My goal is simple: to help students understand how the music industry truly works, avoid common mistakes, and develop the knowledge and confidence to build successful, long-term careers in music.

Recommendations

I met Sebastian through the LA music scene after seeing him perform live and deciding I wanted to learn from a real working artist.
What I appreciate most is how personalized and practical his teaching is. He focuses on your goals and teaches you how to think, play, and perform like a true musician — not just follow exercises.
A memorable experience was when he helped me break down one of my original songs and showed me how to improve the structure, emotion, and live delivery. It completely changed how I approach my music.
I highly recommend Sebastian to anyone serious about growing as a guitarist, songwriter, or performer.View more recommendations
